Director Wim Wenders has captured dancing in a completely new way in this Oscars-nominated documentary. In a tribute to the deceased choreographer Pina Bausch he gathered the ensemble of Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch to perform Pinas unique and inspiring work. The audience is taken on a sensual and visually stunning journey into new dimensions and straight onto the stage, together with some of the world’s top dancers. Mattias Oscarsson gives the film the highest rating in Sydsvenskan, the same as Sverigesradio’s Björn Jansson, wo adds that it’s a “tasteful, very beautiful film”.
