Marie-Louise Ekman plays herself in this colorful and personal film by Johan Bergenstråle, with stunning 70’s artwork by Carl-Johan De Geer. The film starts with a little girl watching a theater rehearsal with her father and his acting colleague Anders Ek, which quickly gets out of control. At home, there is a constant argue about money, drinking and mistresses. Ten years later the girls gets along as an artist and is married with a photographer. Her father is becoming increasingly alcoholic and her mother becomes ill. One day the girl gets casted in a small acting roll and the director falls in love with her. She becomes pregnant and finally the future looks bright.
