Twelve-year-old Binti was born in Congo, but when she was only a young baby, she moved with her father to Belgium. She dreams of living a normal life even though she is paperless, and she works hard to follow her idol Tatiana's footsteps and become a famous vlogger. But suddenly the police make an appearance and suddenly Binti and her dad are on the run. But if her dad meets someone in Belgium and they get married, then they can stay in Belgium. Binti finds the perfect candidate in her friend Elijah's divorced mother. The film is about serious topics but the film's director, Frederike Migom, delivers these messages with both laughter and playfulness.
