We follow the wife of the French ambassador in her everyday life in Ouagadougou. She dreamed of becoming a famous opera singer but now uses singing to cope with her seemingly privileged everyday life. The film raises questions about power structures, class, postcolonialism and feminism in a poetic, subtle and seductive way.
