Thursday premiere w.37-38

The absurd life of the superrich, a happy cow, and a criminal wine merchant, are some of the themes in this week's newly published films at Viddla.

In the satirical drama comedy Triangle of Sadness we follow a group of super rich people on board a yacht when a storm appears and the boat sinks. In the struggle to survive on the nearest deserted island, the hierarchy is turned upside down and civilized behaviour is gone. 

Marion Cotillard plays filmmaker Mona Acache's mother in a documentary that deals with her tough life journey in the pursuit of understanding, reconciliation and truth. Little Girl Blue is a French-Belgian production from 2023. 

Bolan's Shoes is an award-winning drama focusing on the glamrock mania of the 1970s. At the heart of it is Liverpool-singer Marc Bolan who died at an early age in a tragic accident. The movie explores themes such as childhood trauma and the domino effect some events have. 

The animated children's movie Mama Moo finds home lets us explore Mama Moo's thoughts on what home is. How can she be sure the meadow she grazes is really her home, and what if there is something better out there? 

A depressed painter and his friend who is a gallery owner decides to solev their existential and economic problems. As ususal nothing goes according to the plan, and, in the feelgood-comedy Paint It Gold not only art suffers the consequences. 

Blood and Wine is a crime story and thriller from 1996 starring Jack Nicholson, Michael Caine and Jennifer Lopez. Wine merchant Alex decides to commit robbery to save his family and his business, but it gets complicated when his wife decides to meddle.
