Brad Pitt stars in the action thriller Killing Them Softly where he plays Jackie Cogan, a security expert who is investigating a cold coup against a mob-protected poker game with soaring efforts. His strategy is not to cause their victims any unnecessary pain - they're going to die anyway. But in a world that increasingly resembles a business, no one dares to take the really tough decisions, and when the mob reach economic meltdown, all bets are off. Cogan's trade was written in 1974 but Dominik's script has the action moved to the US and the recession of 2008. The film was nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.
