The former hitman John griefs his deceased wife. One day his home is subject to a burglary, when the Russian mafia member Josef Tarasov tries to steal his coveted Mustang. When John sees that his dog got killed in the robbery, he swears that kill all the people involved. Tarasov’s father, a ruthless mafia boss called Viggo, sends an assassin after John. John soon realizes that the only way to stop this whole thing is to tear down Vigo’s empire once and for all. In John Wick, Keanu Reeves is in his right element as action hero, and C-G Karlsson of Metro summarizes the movie as a “stylized and well-choreographed ballet of violence”.
