What Happened to Monday
In a near future, overpopulation and starvation have forced a drastic one-child policy under the control of a child allocation agency. To override the system, a family of seven daughters (all played by Noomi Rapace) maintains the facade by adopting one and the same identity outside of their home. Named after the weekdays, they take turns to leave the apartment on their respective days. They live sheltered but isolated with their real identities at home until one day when Monday never comes home. Glen Close plays the strict Director of the child allocation agency and Willem Dafoe plays the sister’s protective older relative.
