Welcome to Leith

15 yrs 85 minutes 2015 6.9

Leith is a small community in the outskirts of North Dakota with 24 inhabitants. Over the years, the area has lost a large proportion of its population and many houses stand empty. Then the infamous racist Craig Cobb arrived and began to buy all vacant slots and houses to create a colony for American neo-Nazis. The residents of Leith soon realize that they have to act quickly so that their idyllic place won’t be lost forever. This documentary by Michael Beach Nichols and Christopher K. Walker has won awards at several film festivals. At the Stockholm Film Festival in 2015, Welcome to Leith was nominated for Best Documentary, since the film "offers the spectator an intense and balanced depiction of the events in Leith through interviews with Cobb and others involved."
