Motley's Law tells the story about Kimberley Motley who has left her husband and three children in the United States to become a lawyer - in Afghanistan. She is the only foreign lawyer who has the right to practice in the country's courts. And she's the only woman. With his Afghan assistant Khalil, Kimberley defends Western and Afghan clients accused of crime. Money and prestigious human rights cases have motivated her for five years, but the personal threats and the dangerous conditions in the country make it harder and harder for Kimberley to continue her work.
