Three women, mothers and daughters. They all live in Los Angeles, unaware of the impact their lives have on each other. 51-year-old Karen, who at the age of 14 was forced to give her daughter up for adoption. Elizabeth, the daughter who was adopted away, is a motherless, emotional career woman. Lucy is a warm and open business leader and wife. However, she cannot give her husband the child he longs for.
