An exciting, animated film about a warm friendship and a cold journey, a woman's struggle against a male-dominated wine industry, and a Korean coming-of-age drama are some of the themes on Viddla this week.

Norwegian-produced North (Reisen mot nord) is a nice animated children's film based on H.C. Andersen's 1844 fairy tale about the Snow Queen. Gerda must summon the courage to travel alone north to save her best friend from the evil Snow Queen. The film has a 7-year age limit.

The short film Sweden's History 500 Years is part of Viddla's 'learning' section, where we highlight films that are suitable for informing and educating. This time, it is about Sweden's history from the time when Gustav Vasa took power in 1523, up to today's digital and global society.

Widow Clicquot is the story behind the Veuve Clicquot champagne family. When her beloved husband dies, the widow decides to continue running the family business. But she struggles against prejudices – and laws – that prevent women from running businesses. Not least, she fights against her competitors who are happy to see her fail.

If you like Hitchcock, you will like his The 39 Steps! This 1935 thriller is an award-winning spy and conspiracy drama from the streets of London. Hitchcock used various methods to convey particular moods in the film, including having the lead actors linked together with handcuffs for several hours, as the director pretended to have lost the keys. The film has an IMDb score of 7.6.

A life contains many seasons. Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter ... and Spring is a Korean romantic drama about a young boy who grows up in the Korean wilderness and is guided by a Buddhist monk in wisdom and compassion. But when he falls in love, he loses all reason and follows his great love out into the world. However, he is unprepared for modern life and soon returns to his old mentor.

He must redefine himself, and soon discovers that he is quite free to present himself exactly as he wants. People You May Know is an American comedy from 2017.
