During a short trip to Paris in 1964, the American author and art lover James Lord is asked by his acquaintance, world-renowned artist Alberto Giacometti, to sit for a portrait for a few days. It will be the beginning of a long artistic process through beauty, frustration, creativity and chaos. Final Portrait is an insight into genius creation and a strong friendship between two very different personalities. Alberto Giacometti was a Swiss artist and sculptor who was interested in existential and phenomenological issues, drawn to cubism and surrealism.
