In this riveting and emotional thriller we meet 14-year-old David. He lives in the city with his mom, but once a year he travels to see his dad. He goes to the father’s home in the mountains of Montana and they go out hunting together. This time it quickly becomes clear that they doesn’t have much in common. David mostly has his eyes on his phone while his dad tries to compensate for his absence. But suddenly they are in close contact with a couple of bears, and when David’s rifle accidentally goes off, the conditions change completely. Now they have no choice but to learn and work together to survive. The film was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
