A thriller directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The Canadian man Richard Hannay (Robert Donat), is visiting London in 1930. One evening he meets a woman (Lucie Mannheim) who claims she is stalked and ask to hide in his apartment. When she is murdered during the night, he realizes that she told the truth and now the evidence points to Richard. He has no choice but to leave the city to prove his innocence and find out who the killer is. Richard meets another woman, played by Madeleine Carrol, and together they try to follow the murdered woman’s track. Which lead them on a dramatic journey from London to Scotland and back again.
