In a well secured and isolated house Paul, his wife Sarah and their son Travis try to navigate fear, sadness and paranoia against an unknown threat that controls their entire existence. Armed, watchful and with scarce resources, they stand ready to sacrifice everything to protect each other. When a desperate young couple and their young child seek refuge with the family, they open their door to something that should have been kept outside.
