On Body and Soul

15 yrs 116 minutes 2017 7.5

In this Hungarian drama, a psychologist discovers that Endre, the economist at the slaughterhouse, and Mária, the quality inspector, dream the same dream night after night. They are two very introverted and shy people who in everyday life have difficulty with both emotions and social interaction, but in their dreams this odd couple is brought closer together. Katarina Wikars at Kulturnytt i P1 writes: "You can only sit back and be amazed”. In Kulturarbetaren, Catarina Berglund writes that "this is a fine-tuned and symbolic romantic drama about daring to truly show yourself." The film won the Golden Bear for Best Film at Berlin International Film Festival 2017 and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
