The Deep Blue Sea

15 yrs 99 minutes 2011 6.2

Hester Collyer lives a privileged life in the 1950s London, as a beautiful wife of respected judge Sir William Collyer. But when love strikes, she can do nothing but follow her heart. To the great shock of her surroundings, she leaves her marriage and moves in with the young former pilot Freddie Page. But is love strong enough to endure when Freddie's mental scars from World War II make themselves known? The Deep Blue Sea is a study of forbidden love, oppressed desires and fear of loneliness, after Terence Rattigan's classic play of the same name.
