Varda by Agnés

7 yrs 115 minutes 2019 7.8

In this special documentary, we meet the now 90-year-old filmmaker Agnès Varda, who has provided us with innovative and experimental film for decades. This is her own story where she takes us through her artistic life and explains why she did what she did and created as she created. Through archive images, film and dramatized clips, we gain a unique insight into one of the greatest artists in film history. Katarina Wikars writes at Kulturnytt in P1: “This was her last film, the testament where she playfully and seriously goes through her works. Because it is about artistic work, very little about the person.” Stefan Hedmark writes in Aftonbladet that it is fascinating to“… listen and look at such a charismatic, sympathetic and intelligent person who shares memories, insights, and feelings."
