The documentary film The Documentary of Dr G Yunupingu's Life follows the blind Australian artist Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu. He grew up in the traditional Yolong culture and found meaning in his life through song and music. During worldwide travel, he has searched for and reached a large audience, including Queen Elizabeth II and Barack Obama, embracing his music and his message. The film premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2018.
