Quest

15 yrs 104 minutes 2017 7.0

The Rainey family lives in a poor neighborhood in north Philadelphia. For over a decade, documentary film maker Jonathan Olshefski has followed the family in their effort to provide for their little family while at the same time making their community a better place. They run a music studio in their basement meaning to let the youth in the area have an outlet for their creativity and keep them away from the violence in the streets. Quest is a unique story about life in the African American working class, about love, affection and the hope for a better world. The film has been a major success at festivals around the world and was nominated for the Jury Grand Prize at the Cannes Filmfestival.
