Janis - little girl blue
Janis Joplin is one of the most acclaimed and iconic rock'n'roll singers throughout the ages, a tragic and misunderstood woman who delighted millions of listeners and lit up new creative paths until her death 1970 at the age of 27. Joplin's story is examined in depth, and an intimate and insightful portrait of a complicated and driven artist is featured in Janis - little girl blue. Joplin's own words form the basis of much of the documentary's story through a series of letters she wrote to her parents over the years, many of them published here for the first time.
