Matty Burton (played by Paddy Considine who also wrote and directed) is a middleweight boxing champion who plans to end his career to devote time to his wife Emma (Jodie Whittaker) and their newborn daughter Mia. But after his last match, he collapses on the floor in the living room. One of the blows to his head has caused a brain injury and when Matty wakes up from the coma it is to a completely different life. The changes to his personality and the memory loss means that his identity as a family provider and a boxing champion is gone. His fight for recovery has just begun.
