The Paradine Case
In this psychological drama signed Alfred Hitchcock, Maddalena Paradine hires lawyer Anthony Keane when she is accused of having poisoned her wealthy husband. The star lawyer falls in love with Maddelena and his judgment begins to fail during the eventful trial. It is uncertain who the real killer is, and Keane does not know if he has fallen in love with a killer? The film was nominated to an Academy Award 1948 and is based on the author Robert Hichen's book The Paradine Case from 1933.
