With Double Lover, French director François Ozon was nominated for the third time for the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival. The story is about Chloé, who, after having been treated for depression, falls in love with her psychotherapist Paul. At first, Paul seems to have everything she’s been looking for and he treats her lovingly and tenderly, but shortly after they move in together, she discovers a new side of him. The film is based on Lives of The Twins by Joyce Carol Oates.
