Coherence is a smart thriller and James Ward Byrkit's debut as a director. A group of friends gather for a dinner party the same evening as a mysterious comet passes over the area. Initially, the comet's impact can be seen on cracked smartphone screens and through strange signals. After a while, dinner is interrupted when the light goes out. A little further down the street, the light in another house shines and some of the guests go out to investigate. They then discover that the comet has caused a fragmentation of their reality. A phenomenon that affects their entire existence in a fascinating and deeply disturbing way. Are there parallel worlds? This exciting thriller has received several awards and nominations. It won a Black Tulip Award for best debut among feature films at the Amsterdam Film Festival.
