Anna is a teacher at the Conservatory of Music in Berlin when she discovers the young violinist Alexander. She sees a great potential in him and is determined to help him pass the entrance exam. But her commitment starts to resemble obsession and is affecting the people around her. Her own prematurely interrupted career comes to light and the big question becomes more and more clear - who is she really fighting for? Nina Hoss was awarded the prize for best acting at several film festivals, including Stockholm and San Sebastián.
