Pawn sacrifice
In Pawn Sacrifice, we get to follow the chess legend Bobby Fischer, from his childhood years in Brooklyn until July 11, 1972, when the World Championship final in Reykjavik starts with russian chess player Boris Spassky. Over one billion people around the world watched an immigration's son from Brooklyn playing against the world's best chess player - and dealing with his own personal problems - while attempting to destruct an empire. In the role of Bobby Fischer we see Tobey Maguire The Cider House Rules, The Great Gatsby. In Svenska Dagbladet, the film scores 5 out of 6 by Jan Lumholdt. He thinks that the director "takes out his turns with a perfect feeling of the 50's childhood year and the 70's glory period".
