A drama about two young people's way to find their roots. A mother's final wish for retaliation after her death give the twins Jeanne and Simon to go out on a journey to the Middle East to find the truth about their background. In the search for a brother and a father they never met, their mother's big secret is slowly discovered - a shaking fate that eventually became too much to bear. The director Denis Villeneuve's film, based on a true story, became Canada's contribution to the Oscar Award 2010. Bernt Eklund writes in Expressen that the film is "A movie that is important to see - and impossible to forget."
