The loyal and dedicated FBI agent, Mark Felt, had set his sights on the managerial position of the FBI when J. Edgar Hoover died after record-breaking 48 years at the post. When the job goes to someone else, he feels overlooked by the agency for which he has sacrificed large portions of his life, and when he comes across information about President Nixon, he chooses to contact the journalists Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward at the Washington Post. The Watergate scandal is a fact and Felt becomes known all over the world under the code name “Deep Throat”. The role of Mark Field is played by Liam Neeson.
