Dev Patel from Slumdog Millionaire and Lion plays David Copperfield from Charles Dickens' partly autobiographical story of a poor boy who grows up and discovers his talent for writing and telling stories. On the way from absolute poverty to the richest salons, David meets a number of colorful personalities in Victorian England. Oscar-nominated Armando Iannucci (The Death of Stalin, Veep) is directing and Dev Patel was nominated for a Golden Globe for his acting efforts in this tragicomic film.
