The devout American nun Cecilia (Sydney Sweeney) move to a remote convent in the idyllic Italian landscape to get closer to God. At the convent Cecilia is given a particular role, but the warm welcome quickly evolves into a nightmare, when it becomes clear that the convent has dark and frightening secret.
