Fifty-year-old Alice is an acclaimed linguistics professor at the peak of her career. She is happily married to John, and together they have three children. Her life is filled with trips, lectures and family, but she notices that oblivion is slowly creeping up on her. She receives a devastating diagnosis: early stage of Alzheimer's disease. As the independent woman she is, Alice struggles to maintain her lifestyle and to live in the present. The movie is based on Lisa Genova's novel, Still Alice from 2010.
