City Lights

Allowed 81 minutes 1931 8.5

This silent movie contains one of the world's most famous final scenes and is considered to be one of Charlie Chaplin's best performances. In this movie we meet a blind flower girl and a hobo. They fall in love with each other, however, the flower girl believes she falls in love with a rich man, not a hobo. When the hobo happens to save a drunken millionaire, it seems that the hobo succeeds in getting closer to the girl's hopes. In every way, he tries to get money for the operation of her eyes. The hobo does anything from posing, cleaning the streets and boxing to earn money. The message of the movie is clear, love is blind.
