This is Whit Stillman's debut and it was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay in 1990. The film is about young middle class Tom's adventure with New York's upper class, cynical Nick, philosopher Charlie, partiers Sally and Audrey. We will follow them during the first Christmas holidays from college when the students meet at parties and dinners to talk and discuss. They all have different ideologies that they consider to be right, conversation and love sprouts in this classic.
