Yehezkel lives with his wife Levana in a retirement home in Jerusalem where they live a quiet life. When their best friend Max suffers an incurable disease, Yehezkel and some others decide to help him to a peaceful death. But nobody wants to be the one who performs the final procedure. Instead, Yehezkel builds a machine to do the job. After Max's passing, the rumor spreads regarding this merciful invention. Other people contact them and wishes for the help of the machine, to get to the other side. But when Yehezkel's own wife becomes a candidate, they face a difficult moral dilemma. The Israeli film The Dismissal Party won a prize at the Venice Film Festival in 2014.
